On March 27, 2025, the CYMCA educational unit visited Nansha for the "Inter-school Nansha Educational Innovation and Technology Exchange Tour." Led by, Mr. Anthony Ng, Chief Education Director and representatives of principals and students from the Chinese Y.M.C.A. Primary School, Chinese Y.M.C.A. Secondary School, and YMCA College visited the Guangzhou Nansha Minxin Hong Kong Children’s School in the morning to understand the school's scale of operation and the development of education in mainland China.
In the afternoon, the two secondary schools visited pony.ai to learn about how artificial intelligence technology is applied in autonomous driving services (Robtaxi) and toured the Guangzhou No. 4 Thermal Power Plant, which helped participants understand how domestic environmental protection construction and operations utilize leading global technologies to achieve zero emissions and resource recycling.
The primary school section visited the GAC Technology Museum to learn about various advanced automotive technologies, from driverless cars and memory parking to the latest battery systems, and toured the Nansha District Library to understand how intelligent robots handle borrowing and returning books. The entire day's activities were highly beneficial for the participating teachers and students.
