The Centre for Educational Leadership of the University of Hong Kong organized a two-day study tour for a group of more than ten principals and teachers from Gansu to learn about the development of our school’s English curriculum.
Our Principal shared our school’s educational philosophy and policies. Our Head of English Department gave a presentation on our English curriculum design highlighting its various unique features. She also talked about the enhancement programmes in regards to goals and implementation. Afterwards, our student leaders illustrated the multifaceted nature of the curriculum including core English lessons, Drama classes, Enhancement programmes, English Speaking Days, etc. The guests were deeply impressed by our educated strategies to cater for individual differences, our rich and dynamic language environment, and the use of self-developed software to enhance learning effectiveness.
All the principals and teachers found the visit incredibly fruitful and eye-opening.
