To promote Chinese culture and art development in our school, our school Principal, Mr. Chan Kam Wai, Vice Principal, Mr. Wong Ka Hau, and Senior Teacher, Mr. Chung Kwai Mo, visited Xi’an No.30 Middle School between 19th and 22nd March.
The school visit began with sharing of visions and educational philosophies by Mr. Yan Chun Xi, Principal of Xi’an No.30 Middle School, and Mr. Chan Kam Wai, Principal of our school. This was followed by signing of a “Sister School Contract”, a formal partnership agreement to jointly promote the development of the schools.
Afterwards, our school executives observed lessons and a variety of art performances. Their drama club, dancing team, school choir, calligraphy club, art club, and others performed amazingly on stage. Our school executives were greatly impressed by their talents as well as the rich artistic atmosphere surrounding the school. In addition, Xi’an’s eTV television station came to film our visit and had an interviewed with Principal Chan asking him to share his feelings about the exchange activities and his expectations for future development.
We are immensely grateful for the warm welcome and hospitality shown by the Principal, teachers and students of Xi’an No.30 Middle School. We have learned a great deal from this visit. The students of Xi’an No.30 Middle School have inherited a rich heritage of Chinese culture and art, whereas our students have been trained to think creativity. Through partnership and mutual support, we can advance the frontier of Chinese culture and art development in both schools.
