The Counselling Team has always been committed to promoting students’ whole-person development. We care about students’ mental health, values education, sense of belonging to the school, and positive growth.
Our work continues to focus on four major areas: Mental Health, Values Education, Positive School Atmosphere, and Student Recognition and Encouragement. Through talks, groups, experiential activities, student leader training, home-school cooperation, and cross-professional support, we help students develop a positive attitude towards life and enhance their resilience, mental well-being, and physical health.
1. Mental Health Support
The Counselling Team places great importance on students’ mental health. Through prevention, early identification, educational promotion, and individual follow-up, we strive to build a caring school culture.
1.1 Health-In-Mind Programme
Our school participates in the youth mental health promotion programme supported by Kwai Chung Hospital and Jardine Matheson. From 2025 to 2026, a range of school-based activities was carried out, including:
- Mental Health Ambassador Training
- Whole-school Student Talks
- Parent and Staff Talks
1.2 Student Mental Health Questionnaires and Support Programmes
According to students’ different developmental stages and needs, the school arranges suitable mental health questionnaires and support services. These help the school better understand students’ emotional well-being at an early stage and provide appropriate follow-up support for students in need.
The support includes:
- S1 Adaptation and Emotional Support
- S2 to S6 Emotional Health Questionnaires
- Support for Students with Higher Needs
1.3 Mental Health Week
Our school holds a Mental Health Week every year to promote emotional well-being and a positive lifestyle on campus through a variety of activities, including:
- Lunchtime mental health game booths
- Student leader-led campus promotion activities
- Mental health mobile service
- Morning assembly sharing
- Whole-school mental health talk
Mental Health Week aims to help students learn about emotional management, stress coping, interpersonal relationships, and the importance of maintaining a balanced mind and body in a relaxed and interactive way.
2. Values Education
In line with the school’s overall direction of student development, the Counselling Team promotes positive values education through class teacher periods, form-based activities, competitions, and talks. We aim to help students develop good character and a proper attitude towards life.
2.1 Pre-S1 Bridging Programme
To help S1 students adapt to secondary school life, the Counselling Team organises activities during the Pre-S1 Bridging Programme and at the beginning of the school year. These activities cover themes such as teamwork, positive encouragement, and cyberbullying education.
Through experiential learning, students are supported in developing a sense of belonging, social skills and awareness of the healthy use of social media.
2.2 Values Education Materials for Class Teacher Periods
The Counselling Team sets core values for each form and designs corresponding teaching materials for class teachers to implement values education during class teacher periods.

The Counselling Team will continue to refine the materials and provide support for class teachers, so that values education can be more closely connected to students’ daily life experiences.
2.3 Class Board Design Competition
To encourage students to express positive values creatively, the Counselling Team organises a form-based class board design competition. Students create designs based on the core values of their form level.
Through class collaboration and visual expression, the activity helps foster a positive, encouraging school atmosphere.
2.4 Life Education Talk
A talk on animation and life education will be organised. Through a cultural medium familiar to students, the talk guides them to reflect on the meaning of life, interpersonal relationships, choices, and personal growth. It also aims to nurture students’ appreciation of life and their positive attitude when facing difficulties.
3. Building a Positive School Atmosphere
Through school activities, new media promotion and support for graduating students, the Counselling Team promotes a school culture of care, appreciation and mutual support.
3.1 Teachers’ Day Activities
Every year, 10 September is Teachers’ Day. Our school organises a Teachers’ Day morning assembly and appreciation card activity each year to encourage students to express gratitude and respect to teachers.
Parents are also invited to take part in the “Parents Appreciate Teachers” card activity. This helps strengthen home-school cooperation and build a school culture that values and respects teachers.
3.2 New Media Promotion
The Counselling Team shares activity information, campus highlights, and positive values messages through the school website, Instagram page, and YouTube channel. This allows students to better understand the work of the Counselling Team.
Promotion content includes:
- Counselling Team activity previews
- Activity reviews and photo highlights
- Mental health and positive psychology information
- Support information for S6 students
- Promotion of a caring school culture
3.3 Support for S6 Students
Facing the pressure of public examinations and further studies, the Counselling Team provides different forms of support for S6 students, including:
- Encouragement gift packs
- DSE cheering station
- Examination stress-relief and emotional wellness support sessions
- Pre-DSE result release encouragement programme
- Graduation Ceremony and “Pass It On” activities
Through companionship, encouragement, and practical support, we help S6 students face public examinations and the next stage of life with a positive mindset.
4. Student Recognition and Positive Reinforcement
The Counselling Team believes that appreciation and encouragement help students build confidence and promote positive behaviour. The school will continue to implement a student recognition system to commend students for their good performance in character, service, learning attitude, and school life.
4.1 Award Certificate Scheme
Our school has an award certificate redemption mechanism to encourage students to practise positive behaviour in their daily learning and school life. Students can receive award certificates for good performance and redeem rewards according to the mechanism.
The scheme includes:
- Design and distribution of award certificates
- Reward redemption arrangements
- Promotion supported by student ambassadors
- Campus publicity and encouraging messages
4.2 Award Ceremony
Through award ceremonies, the school recognises students who demonstrate outstanding performance in character and learning attitude. This affirms students’ efforts and sets positive examples for their peers.
Conclusion
The Counselling Team will continue to place students’ well-being at the centre of our work. Through preventive education, early support, values education, and positive school activities, we accompany students as they face the challenges of growth.
We look forward to working hand in hand with students, parents, teachers, and community partners to build a caring, healthy, positive, and hopeful school campus.
